چکیده

In this study, it was aimed to evaluate total sialic acid (TSA), paraoxonase activity (PON1), malondialdehyde (MDA) and some serum biochemical parameters in cows with subclinical paratuberculosis. Paratuberculosis (PT) test performed on 500 aged 2-6 years by ELISA method. Twenty-four diagnosed paratuberculosis constituted the PT group 12 healthy control group. According results, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate (AST) UREA levels were found be statistically higher (p <0.05) compared Iron (Fe) lower than (p> 0.05). Compared group, there a decrease PON1 significant increase TSA MDA <0.05). conclusion, infection, long incubation period absence of clinical findings until advanced stages constitute handicap. However, our show that determination lipid peroxidation (MDA), concentration caused inflammatory oxidative stress state infection can used as new biomarkers for infection.

Serum Sialic Acid, Malondialdehyde, Retinol, Zinc, and Copper Concentrations in Dairy Cows with Lameness

Concentrations of serum sialic acid, malondialdehyde (MDA), retinol, zinc, and copper were measured in 52 lactating Holstein cows. Out of them, 15 were controls, 21 mildly lame, 7 moderate lame, and 9 severely lame. The animals were housed in free-stall barns with a slurry surface and were not released for pasture feeding. Compared to control animals, the mean serum total sialic acid concentrat...
